The Department of Civil Engineering is glad to announce the “1 st International Conference on “Innovative Practices in Sustainable Engineering & Technology (IC-IPSET’24)” on 29,30 and 31 of July, 2024 at Mar Baselios Institute of Technology and Science, Nellimattom, Kothamangalam, Ernakulam, Kerala, India. About The College

MBITS Engineering College, a premier institution started in 2009 under Mar-Thoma cheria-pally,Kothamangalam,that is committed to providing quality education to students who are passionate about pursuing a career in engineering. We take pride in the fact that we are accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), an autonomous body established by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India to assess and accredit institutions of higher education in the country. About The Department

The department of Civil Engineering was started in Mar Baselios Institute of Technology and Science in the year 2009 with a sanctioned student intake of 60. The department also offers a PG programme in computer Aided Structural Engineering with a sanctioned student intake of 24 in the year 2013. The department provides quality instruction and teaching to both UG and PG levels and technical advisory support for research and development activities covering the areas of Building Materials and Construction, Surveying, Hydraulics Engineering, Concrete Technology, Civil Engineering Drawing, Structural Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering and Environmental Engineering.

The department laboratory is equipped with latest facilities for extensive hands-on training to both the undergraduate and postgraduate students. The department undertakes consultancy works of which the major clients are NATPAC, PWD, LSGD, Southern Railway, ULTRATECH cements. The department is having a lifetime membership of the Institution of Engineers, India (Students’ chapter, Civil division). Our alumni members are working in public & Private sector. They are also working/studying abroad in countries like the UK, Canada, Germany, Australia, New Zealand etc.
